How YourQue works

Built around one idea: coming back matters more than never missing. Everything below exists to make that easy, and to keep in view who you are becoming.

Miss a day, keep your streak

Life happens, and the app is built for it. Miss a day and your streak bends instead of breaking: "Yesterday got away. Streak safe." It takes two misses in a row to end one, and even then there is no alarm, just "A fresh start today." Did the thing but forgot to tap? Fill yesterday in from the habit's calendar. Come back after a real gap and YourQue says the one thing that matters: "You came back. That is the part that counts." It counts those returns all year, right at the top of Today, because coming back is the whole skill.

Habits on your schedule

Daily, every 2 to 14 days, a target of 1 to 6 times a week, or set weekdays such as Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Each habit is measured against its own rhythm, not a calendar someone else drew, so a Tuesday you did not run is not a miss on a three-times-a-week habit. Going away, or just having a hard week? Pause a habit for as long as you need, with no penalty. Streaks and stats wait for you. Need one day off? Skip it on purpose and it is rest, not a miss, and you can undo it the same day.

One screen, one question

Open the app and Today asks only what is due. Tap a row and it is done. Under every habit, a plain sentence says exactly where you stand: "Done today." "Every 3 days." "2 of 4 this week." Things you do more than once a day are counted properly, tap by tap: "2 of 3 today", then "3 of 3 today. Day complete." One tap too many? Long-press to undo. A strip of the last seven days sits at the top for context; tap any day for a quick look at how it went. Drag your habits into the order your day actually runs, and, if you like, group them into morning, afternoon and evening.

Your habits, on the home screen

A widget for iOS and Android puts today's habits where you already look. Tap a habit on the widget and it is done, without opening the app. The widget and the app speak the same sentence for the same state, so the two never contradict each other, and the widget makes no network calls at all. Free shows one habit; YourQue Full shows all of them. Tapping to complete needs iOS 17 or later; on iOS 16 the widget is read only.

Reminders that know when to stop

Reminders are off until you turn one on, habit by habit. Set up to three per habit, at your times. Set quiet hours and nothing fires inside them. Once everything for the day is done, nothing fires at all. Snooze straight from the notification. And nothing in the app escalates: no repeat nags, no alarm about your streak, no shame in your notification tray, ever. YourQue Full adds a quiet daily briefing, one in the morning, one in the evening, either or both.

It notices how far you have come

When you create a habit, YourQue asks one optional question: "Why does this matter to you?" One line, asked once, never nagged about. Then it waits for the moments that count. Return after a gap and your own words replace the generic ones. Three quiet milestones mark the road, each in the chain's own words: your first completion ("Actions become habits."), your first return after a gap, and your thirtieth day ("Your character shapes your destiny."). Each appears once, under the habit that earned it, with your why beside it, and a tap dismisses it. No confetti, no points. Just a line that knows what you did.

Nothing you built is thrown away

Every habit keeps a month-by-month calendar of its record: this month and last for free, the whole history in YourQue Full. Done with a habit? Archive it instead of deleting it. Full adds the Vault, where every archived habit keeps its lifetime record: total check-ins, first and last dates, longest streak. Full also adds Insights, which reads your history back to you: the weekday you are strongest on, your longest streak and the habit that earned it, your steadiest habits over the last 30 days, and the pair of habits that tend to happen together. Free or Full, it stays yours: export everything as a file through the share sheet, and bring it to a new phone the same way.

Postcards worth keeping

Reach a milestone and YourQue makes a small postcard you can save or share. Streaks and months make one too, and so does your Destiny: where all of this is heading, in your own words, beside the number of times you came back this year. A postcard only ever shows a win; it cannot shame anyone. No leaderboards, no comparing. Just a keepsake of a promise you kept. Classic is free. YourQue Full adds Midnight, Espresso and Linen.

The point of all of it

Habits build character

None of this is here to make you perfect. It is here so that on the tired days, the full days, the days that get away, coming back stays easy.

Do that enough times and a habit stops being a thing you do and becomes part of who you are. That is the stretch of the chain YourQue stands in with you: actions becoming habits, habits building character. It starts with one habit, today.
